about the artist

After studying and working in fashion design, Ghada Batrouni turned to art out of a desire to go beyond appearances; to explore and express the inner states of being. Her work contemplates the layers of thought and emotion as one comes to terms with the various stages and conditions of life.

"The complexity and grace of the human spirit are what I love to communicate through my work. The intricate and constant dance between identity, desire, and idolized roles is my inspiration.

Using materials such as bronze and raw silk that embody both strength and fragility, I aim to capture a moving emotion within a serene, composed object."
